Abhinay Deo shared, “She departed between 8.30 and 9 am at her Bandra home, owing to the inevitable toll of advancing years. Alzheimer’s proves to be a complex adversary, gradually eroding even the most basic functioning abilities. The journey from dementia to full-blown Alzheimer’s was a trying one, lasting for over three years.”

Alzheimer’s progression tends to be multifaceted. Abhinay Deo elucidated, “Her passing wasn’t triggered by any isolated factor. Alzheimer’s, coupled with dementia, can severely impair motor skills. This gradual decline culminates in the shutdown of vital bodily functions, one after the other.”

The final rites are scheduled at 5 pm at Shivaji Park. Seema Deo’s husband, the esteemed actor Ramesh Deo, who contributed significantly to both Hindi and Marathi cinema, passed away in 2022 at the age of 93.
